Snow.Snow Clearing

The Association is responsible for snow removal on all roadways, sidewalks, stairways, and parking areas, except for Gordon Avenue, which is a township road.

In order to be prepared, the Association has a contract with a local firm which is called as needed.  Crews are typically mobilized after two inches of snowfall, unless weather forecasts suggest otherwise, such as an immediate warming.

Snow is first removed from the main streets and entrances to Society Hill, then from parking areas, walkways and stairs. Parking areas are addressed as main accesses are cleared. Some snow will be left in piles to melt.

Lifting snow.Residents are encouraged to assist by watching for the arrival of crews to clear parking areas. To the extent that residents can move their cars at this point to available areas, a more efficient clearing of parking areas is enabled.

Any residents with medical conditions which may require possible immediate exiting from a unit should advise the office in advance, so that special efforts may be arranged to accommodate the situation.

For more details, review the Snow Removal Plan, or contact the office. In addition, residents may assist by some limited clearing of snow or placement of safe melting materials, as discussed in the plan.
